I first heard Talia Joy Castellano‘s story when I saw her on the Ellen Show a while back. She’s a brave 13-year-old girl who’s been fighting cancer since she was six.
My heart goes out to Talia and her family and friends. As the dad of an almost 12 year old girl, I can’t even begin to imagine what those who love this girl are feeling right now, but I’m praying for a miracle for Talia and for strength and peace for everyone in her life.
The Florida teen, who hosts popular YouTube beauty videos and has inspired people all over the world, including yours truly, has been confined to a hospital room for the past 8 weeks. Tonight, she clings to life, surrounded by her family.
The hashtag #PrayForTalia has trended worldwide over the past few weeks, along with #TaliasBucketList – the latter of which is an awesomely fun and inspiring list of things Talia said, “I hope to do before I die.” Words no kid should ever have to write, thoughts no child should ever have to think…
